RAD enables robust PMR connectivity between TETRA radio base stations, switching and control nodes (SCN), main switching offices (MSO), and dispatch centers using self-healing TDM rings over E1, T1 and SHDSL links. The Megaplex-2100 and Megaplex-2104 multiservice access multiplexers, together with the Megaplex-4100 multiservice access node and FCD-IP E1/T1 access unit with integrated router provide an ideal TETRA backhaul solution for public safety and emergency services, as well as for transportation and utility companies, with simultaneous support for voice, low-speed data and high-speed TEDS (TETRA enhanced data services) traffic.
